ReplyDeleteMichael J. 7/8A--This is a common question regarding LRT. And although we discussed this during the first day of class, it's easy to forget. LRT stands for Literacy, Research and Technology. We work to improve your ability to read--specifically to better understand what you are reading. Remember the Reading Content Strategies sheet I handed out (BEFORE, DURING, AFTER)? That will serve as a guide for becoming better readers. The Research element will show you different research strategies, specifically using the Internet to locate credible information. And finally, we'll provide experience in technology so you can succeed in the 21st century. We do all this through lots of fun and engaging activities. I hope that helps a little bit. You're always welcome to speak with me if you'd like too.
