I checked for supplies. I explained the Hurricane Wiki Project Individual Member Assessment. Each group completed the Hurricane Wiki Project Individual Member Assessment. I demonstrated how to take the FBI-SOS Pre-Quiz. Students to the FBI-SOS Pre-Quiz. The class finished with 15 minutes of RIF.

Assignment

If you have not yet done so, register online for the FBI-SOS Competition.

Go to www.fbi-sos.org and click the "Students" button.
Click the "Registration" button.
Read over the rules and click "Click Here to Register" at the bottom of the page. Enter your name and select your state (Minnesota), school (Valley View Middle School) and grade (8th). You will then be given a username and password which you will need to take the Pre- and Post-Quizzes.
Print the page with your username and password information. VERY IMPORTANT: Cut the registration page in half and give Mr. Buckley the bottom half to keep for your records.

If you have not yet done so, take the FBI-SOS Pre-Quiz. (DUE Friday)
Turn in your Packer Pass. (DUE Friday)
Check the blog daily and complete any tasks that are added.
Bring all supplies to class.

All extra credit assignments are optional.

1-15-2008 (B Day) Happenings

We reviewed the Packer Contest. I checked for supplies. I explained the Hurricane Wiki Project Individual Member Assessment. 1-14-2008 (A Day) Happenings

We reviewed the Packer Contest. I checked for supplies. The class submitted their finalized Hurricane Wiki Project. Each group presented their Hurricane Wiki to the class using the Tablet PC and LCD Projector. Students spent 25 minutes participating in RIF. I then returned the completed Hurricane Wiki Project Grading Rubric and answered any questions that students had regarding their group grade. We then registered for the FBI-Safe Online Surfing (SOS) activity.
