Credit for Your Blog Entries (Lots of Points)

Have you been commenting on the blog and wondering if you will receive credit? Don't worry; you will! Each required blog comment is worth 5 points. (Lots of blogs = Lots of points!) Periodically, you will be required to fill out a Blog Log that verifies you have completed all required blogs.

Did you have trouble with the first few blogs? If so, don't worry. I will not be counting the first few blog entries because of technical difficulties that many of you had. The first blog entry that will count will be the September 24 blog entry titled What Do You Want?

If you did not comment on a required blog entry, you can still go back and submit a comment to receive your 5 point assignment grade.

Aside from the extra credit entries, all other blog entries will most likely be graded.

This doesn't have anything to do with our blog entries, but i didn't know where I should post my question. Do we ever get to learn how to customize or post anything on our own blogs?

We will eventually be using your individual blogs as well. We are getting to that point. I would like to have enough computers that actually work in my classroom before starting that.

Most blogs are REQUIRED blogs and are worth 5 points. If you don't do the blog comment you would earn a ZERO out of 5. There are some blog entries where you can earn extra credit points. Other entries, such as this one, has no credit attached but contributes to the understanding of what is going on in class.

You do earn points for commenting on blog entries. I expect that all student comments are respectful, thoughtful and purposeful.
