Blogging is a new part of LRT this year.
One of the reasons we use blogs is to prepare you to succeed in the 21st century real world. In the book Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts and Other Powerful Web Tools for Classrooms, Will Richardson states that "blogs can teach students the new literacies they will need to function in an ever expanding information society." It's nice to know that an "expert" thinks the same way I do about blogs.
But what you think is very important too! What do you think about using blogging as part of our class? Is it fun? Is it educational? Should we continue to use blogs? Give me some feedback.

I think that blogging in class has been fun! I also think that having blogs and netvibes are great things to do in school. I also think that it does help us to understand the internet more.

I agree with the first comment,but I'm still going to use my planner. just because it has our homework on here doesn't mean that we shouldn't use our planner. =)

I think that using blogs is fun and it's useful if you forgot to write down your homework. I think that we should keep using it for assignments because typing is more fun that writing.
I think that blogs are important because the way that technology is advancing, its important to keep up with the times, and blogs are becoming too important to be ignored by schools
Personaaly i think that blogging is a good learning expirience! I also think that blogging is a good way to communicate with anyone and everyone! blogging only goes to show how much the world has changed!

In my opinon, blogging is a fun, convenient and educational way for the class to state our opnions. I think we should defiantly keep using blogs. Since technology is quickly advancing, it's a great way for kids to be keeping up with it.

I'm responding to Haley's comment, and I completely agree. Its much easier to communicate through blogging, and its much more entertaining. I really enjoy being able to see other peoples comments and thoughts. Getting back to what Haley said, its very fun and its convenient to learning about other people and their insights.
I'm glad you are enjoying blogging and finding it to be worthwhile. I hope that you continue to find the technology activities to be enjoyable and educational.
I don't think it's helping us a whole lot but is fun. I think we should definitely still learn about the computers and internet but just not put so much time into blogging.

I think we should still use our planners.
I think blogging gives us a chance to connect with other people in 8th grade which is pretty cool and it's nice to be able to say what we want on the blog.
